The City of Mar­i­on is proud to offer a park sys­tem that fea­tures 13 parks with a com­bined area of over 200 acres. There is a diverse offer­ing of activ­i­ties and pro­grams for all ages at all park loca­tions, how­ev­er Mat­ter Park is the largest and old­est park and offers year-round activ­i­ties and events includ­ing pro­grams in the Gar­dens of Mat­ter Park and the Gar­den House. With the exis­tence of open space in the parks, there is plen­ty of oppor­tu­ni­ty for walk­ing and recreation.
