Earth Day Festival

Parks & Recre­ation part­ners with Mar­i­on Util­i­ties and our Gen­er­al Motors plant to pro­vide an edu­ca­tion­al and fun-filled expe­ri­ence for the whole fam­i­ly. The event is free, but offers food and oth­er ser­vices avail­able for pur­chase. Earth Day usu­al­ly takes place in Mat­ter Park on or around Earth Day in April.

“July 3^rd” Inde­pen­dence Day Celebration

For many years, the City of Mar­i­on has put on one of the most spec­tac­u­lar fire­works dis­plays in the state with unmatched enter­tain­ment, lots of ven­dors and attrac­tive fea­tures for fam­i­lies, draw­ing thousands.

Fall Fest

Make mem­o­ries in Mat­ter Park by join­ing us for plen­ty of heart­warm­ing autumn activ­i­ties includ­ing hayrides, cos­tume con­tests, pump­kin dec­o­rat­ing, s’mores and more! 

Ampli­fy Marion

This music and food fes­ti­val takes place in the fall in Mat­ter Park. The full-day event aims to ampli­fy the city of Mar­i­on through local fla­vors and live music by local and even nation­al­ly acclaimed artists.
