Home Repair Assis­tance Program

With $100,000 ear­marked for home repair projects, we hope this will serve a lot of home­own­ers in Mar­i­on who need the finan­cial assis­tance.” — Jer­ry Foust­night, Build­ing Commissioner

The City of Mar­i­on and Com­mon Coun­cil made $100,000 avail­able through its Blight Elim­i­na­tion Pro­gram in 2024 to help home­own­ers who need assis­tance with var­i­ous home repair costs. Appli­cants may apply for up to $5,000 in finan­cial assis­tance per homeowner/​household while the fund­ing is available.

Home Repair Assis­tance Pro­gram Cri­te­ria:

1. Total house­hold Adjust­ed Gross Income Not to Exceed $40,000
2. Must be a City of Mar­i­on Res­i­dent
3. Real Estate must be locat­ed with­in the City of Mar­i­on
4. Appli­cants must be 65 to be eli­gi­ble to apply
5. If appli­cant is under 65, he/​she can qual­i­fy if social secu­ri­ty dis­abil­i­ty deter­mi­na­tion or hon­or­able dis­charged vet­er­an sta­tus
6. Home must be your pri­ma­ry residence
