Home Repair Assistance Program

Home Repair Assistance Program

With $100,000 earmarked for home repair projects, we hope this will serve a lot of homeowners in Marion who need the financial assistance.” — Jerry Foustnight, Building Commissioner

The City of Marion and Common Council made $100,000 available through its Blight Elimination Program in 2024 to help homeowners who need assistance with various exterior home repair costs. Applicants were encouraged to apply for up to $5,000 in financial assistance per homeowner/household while the funding was available.

The Home Repair Assistance Program approved last year helped a total of 18 residents with various needed home repairs throughout Marion.
