Grant for Grads

Marion/​Grant Coun­ty touts a finan­cial incen­tive pro­gram for col­lege grad­u­ates. The Grant Coun­ty Eco­nom­ic Growth Council’s Grant for Grads’ hous­ing assis­tance pro­gram pro­vides mon­e­tary assis­tance toward home pur­chas­es for grad­u­ates choos­ing to work and live in Grant Coun­ty. The pro­gram is a proud part­ner­ship with the Afford­able Hous­ing Com­mu­ni­ty Devel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion (AHC). The Growth Coun­cil” also offers an array of incen­tives for busi­ness­es. Free City Bus

The City of Mar­i­on prides itself on offer­ing free bus ser­vice. Our Tran­sit Sys­tem is acclaimed by the Indi­ana Coun­cil on Spe­cial­ized Trans­porta­tion and the Nation­al Rur­al Tran­sit Assis­tance Program.

Free Event Space

The 5th Street Com­mons is a park­ing lot by day, but one may reserve the space for an event in the mul­ti-use out­door space which offers flood light­ing, elec­tri­cal hook-up, a stage, and attrac­tive land­scap­ing. Free Park­ing

The City of Mar­i­on owns sev­er­al park­ing lots in the cen­ter of town. Spaces are first-come first-served, and num­bered spaces are reserved.
