Growth Council & City of Marion to Hold "Why Marion" Forum at IWU Share

The Grant Coun­ty Eco­nom­ic Growth Coun­cil and the City of Mar­i­on have part­nered to bring the com­mu­ni­ty a spe­cial event called Why Mar­i­on.” The forum on Feb­ru­ary 28th, 2018 will fea­ture a vari­ety of par­tic­i­pants includ­ing elect­ed offi­cials, Indi­ana Wes­leyan Uni­ver­si­ty fac­ul­ty, stu­dents and alum­ni, busi­ness own­ers and new res­i­dents who will speak about why they choose to be in Mar­i­on, Indi­ana. The event will explore the impor­tance of place, and the com­plex, evolv­ing rela­tion­ship between IWU and the City of Mar­i­on. Why Mar­i­on?” seeks to edu­cate IWU stu­dents about Mar­i­on as well as increase inter­ac­tion and har­mo­ny between IWU and the City of Mar­i­on. The event will take place at 7pm in the Barnes Stu­dent Cen­ter com­mon area. Every­one is encour­aged to attend.
