The Friends of The Gardens of Matter Park will host a kick-off for St. Patrick’s Day, “Musical Magic in The Garden House,” to help set everyone’s blarney in motion! The celebration will take place on Friday, March 16th, from 7 – 9 pm. This is a new event for 2018, co-sponsored by the City of Marion Parks & Recreation Department, Paddock View Residential Center, and Black Dog Farms. On the eve of St. Patrick’s Day, the musical group, Traveler’s Dream, will present a night of sprightly Irish jigs and reels along with traditional songs of the Celtic Lands. This event features a larger version of Traveler’s Dream that performs with a variety of unique, indigenous instruments. Caitlin Bragg will provide Irish dancing demonstrations. Guests may join in the dancing and enjoy Irish Cream beverages, decadent desserts and a cash bar. Admission includes refreshments: $15/person or $25/couple. Seating is limited.
