This is a reminder that the City of Mar­i­on’s 192^nd Birth­day Par­ty and State of the City Address is Fri­day, May 24^th, 2024, from 4 – 7pm down­town on the river­front at 1^st and Adams St. 

Here’s what you need to know:

The Zach Day Band will be play­ing from 4 – 7pm, break­ing for May­or Ronald Mor­rell, Jr.‘s first State of the City Address from 5:30 – 6pm.

A video of the State of the City Address will be post­ed on the City of Mar­i­on home­page (city​of​mar​i​on​.in​.gov) fol­low­ing the event Fri­day night.

Hive Mind Mar­ket ven­dors will have craft booths and food trucks up and down Adams St. north of 2^nd St. and north of McClure’s gas station.

Fam­i­lies are encour­aged to come enjoy a bounce house, face paint­ing, and lots of ​“Touch a Truck” fea­tures with the Mar­i­on Fire Dept., Mar­i­on Police Dept., City­wide Main­te­nance & more! There might even be some extra sur­pris­es for the kids.

Area roads and alleys will be closed from 2 – 8pm on Fri­day, 5/24/24 (see map).

Pub­lic park­ing on and around the site will be marked.

The City has gained spon­sors since pro­mot­ing the event with Needler’s donat­ing fresh cook­ies and Dol­lar Gen­er­al donat­ing cup­cakes for the pub­lic to enjoy, first come first served. The City is incred­i­bly grate­ful for these gen­er­ous dona­tions and will be hand­ing them out at the City booth.
