Working at Marion Animal Care & Control is not an easy job…but a team of four has persevered and even gone above and beyond within their department.

When the pandemic hit in the spring, they did not halt operations…they stepped up operations to improve their facility. Even though they were closed to the public for many weeks, they remained active to make improvements. Nearly the entire interior was painted with bright colors and patterns to create a more welcoming and fun atmosphere, lots of organizing was done, and lots and lots of deep cleaning.

Their supervisor, Jerry Foustnight, expressed gratitude for their dedication and hard work on a daily basis – both under normal and unique circumstances. It takes a special kind of person to do the work they do, and they do it well and enjoy it. They address many types of issues and many times go out of their way to help the public.”
