Splash House Precautionary Closing Share

The Splash House is cur­rent­ly closed until fur­ther notice. Trace amounts of E. coli were found in a week­ly water sam­ple sub­mit­ted to the Mar­i­on Depart­ment of Util­i­ties for analy­sis. While the sam­ple test­ed showed the platelets below the lev­el of pub­lic safe­ty con­cern, as a pre­cau­tion­ary mea­sure the Splash House will be closed until two (2) addi­tion­al sam­ples can be sub­mit­ted and ana­lyzed result­ing in no con­t­a­m­i­nants. Fur­ther infor­ma­tion per­tain­ing to the reopen­ing will be post­ed here on the City of Marion’s web­site. Our hope is to reopen ear­ly next week.

Pre­vi­ous­ly, we announced that the Splash House is to be closed on Sun­day, June 3^rd, due to the grad­u­a­tions of many of our staff mem­bers and/​or their families.
