The Mar­i­on Police Depart­ment is tak­ing appli­ca­tions for the 2024 Youth Academy.

Date: July 16 – 19^th 

Time 8 – 4pm 

Where: Mar­i­on Police Department

Who: Kids ages 12 to 15 years old

Cadets will be chal­lenged dur­ing the week and will get a glimpse of the crim­i­nal jus­tice sys­tem and what it takes to be a police offi­cer. Police Instruc­tors will edu­cate the cadets in the areas of SWAT, K‑9, firearms train­ing, phys­i­cal tac­tics, drug task force, crime scene inves­ti­ga­tion, detec­tive work and more. 

Appli­ca­tions may be picked up at the Mar­i­on Police Depart­ment, 301 S. Bran­son St. Mar­i­on, IN or email msorensen@​cityofmarion.​in.​gov to request an application. 

Appli­ca­tion are due no lat­er than June 24^th by 4pm.
