Rail­road Work Resumes on S.R. 9 in Grant Coun­ty: Road to be closed to allow Nor­folk South­ern to fin­ish rebuild­ing the crossing

GRANT COUN­TY – The Indi­ana Depart­ment of Trans­porta­tion announces that S.R. 9 will be closed in Grant Coun­ty to allow Nor­folk South­ern to rebuild the rail­road cross­ing. Work will take place on S.R. 9 in both direc­tions on Mon­day, June 17^th, 2019 between North Wash­ing­ton Street and North Lagro Road. The road is expect­ed to reopen by Fri­day, June 21^st, weath­er permitting.

The offi­cial state detour is S.R. 15 to S.R. 218 to S.R. 9.
