Marion Ranked 11th Best City in the U.S. for First-time Homebuyers Share

First-time Home­buy­ers across the nation should be look­ing at Mar­i­on, Indi­ana accord­ing to a report from Lend­E­DU. Mar­i­on was ranked the ​“11^th Best City in the U.S. for First-time Home­buy­ers” in a report released on May 3^rd, 2017. The report high­light­ed Mar­i­on and the oth­er top-rat­ed cities and towns as offer­ing the most reward for peo­ple buy­ing a home for the first time.

Lend­E­DU gen­er­at­ed their rank­ings based off met­rics includ­ing: (1) Medi­an House­hold Income; (2) Medi­an House­hold Val­ue; (3) Mort­gage Suc­cess Rate; (4) Prop­er­ty Tax Rate; (5) Crime Risk Index; (6) Weath­er Risk Index; (7) Cost of Liv­ing Index; and (8) Enter­tain­ment Cost Index. Mar­i­on received 83 out 100 points. The city ranked #1, Menom­i­nee, Michi­gan, received 87.56 out of 100.
