Hart’s Shoes was started in 1912 in Warsaw, IN, by owner Michael Hart’s grandfather, William Hart. It was taken over by Mike’s father, James Hart, then by Mike when his father passed away. Mike is the third generation Hart to own the business. Mike has been in the shoe business all his life. He sold his first pair of shoes at the age of 10 in his grandfather’s store. We are known for being a family sit-fit shoe store.” – Patty Hart

Michael and his wife, Patty, have expressed their love for helping people by striving to sell comfortable and quality shoes to the people of Marion and Grant County since 1970. They pride themselves on being able to find a good fitting shoe for the hard to fit” feet, and always attempting to get the newest merchandise. They are grateful for their loyal customers and sales staff that have helped their company achieve decades of longevity. In addition to their longstanding and successful business, Hart’s Shoes has been recognized as Grant County’s Greatest Shoe Store” many times through the years.

In the future, the Harts are considering retirement and passing on their business to someone who shares their dream of serving the people of Marion and the surrounding communities as a quality sit-fit shoe store. But, for now until further notice, they are continuing to run the family business while also being present at the store.
