Did You Know: Environmental Public Nuisance Notice Letters Share

Each year, the City of Mar­i­on sends out notices to prop­er­ty own­ers to give them ample time to rec­ti­fy any envi­ron­ment pub­lic nui­sances. For exam­ple, in 2025, the prop­er­ty own­ers are giv­en until June 1st to cor­rect any envi­ron­men­tal pub­lic nui­sance such as over­growth of grass and/​or weeds, neglect­ed veg­e­ta­tion, dead weeds, grass, brush, and/​or trees.

A copy of the let­ter is attached with more infor­ma­tion includ­ing the fees/​ramifications out­lined for not meet­ing the deadline. 

The City of Mar­i­on has hun­dreds of ordi­nances in place includ­ing Envi­ron­men­tal Pub­lic Nui­sance codes of reg­u­la­tion in order to pro­tect the pub­lic safe­ty, health, wel­fare, and enhance the envi­ron­ment and qual­i­ty of life of the peo­ple who live in and vis­it the city of Marion.
