Each year, the City of Marion sends out notices to property owners to give them ample time to rectify any environment public nuisances. For example, in 2025, the property owners are given until June 1st to correct any environmental public nuisance such as overgrowth of grass and/or weeds, neglected vegetation, dead weeds, grass, brush, and/or trees.
A copy of the letter is attached with more information including the fees/ramifications outlined for not meeting the deadline.
The City of Marion has hundreds of ordinances in place including Environmental Public Nuisance codes of regulation in order to protect the public safety, health, welfare, and enhance the environment and quality of life of the people who live in and visit the city of Marion.
