The Free­dom Memo­r­i­al in Mat­ter Park which serves to hon­or our U.S. Vet­er­ans has recent­ly been vandalized. 

City­wide Main­te­nance Super­in­ten­dent James Loftis calls the van­dal­ism a despi­ca­ble act.

The area is mon­i­tored fre­quent­ly, both by city staff and com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers, and van­dals either caught in the act or report­ed and iden­ti­fied will be pros­e­cut­ed for their actions.
