Splash Pad Planned for Clifford Townsend Park Share

Just out­side down­town along the Mis­sissinewa River­walk, there will soon be a splash pad” in Clif­ford Townsend Park – a water fea­ture to enhance the qual­i­ty of life for res­i­dents in Marion.

The City is begin­ning the bid­ding process for con­struc­tion of the splash pad, with con­struc­tion expect­ed to begin by the end of May and com­plet­ed in Octo­ber, 2025

Engi­neer­ing & Plan­ning Direc­tor Mike Graft explained, The splash pad will actu­al­ly be open by the end of August, with minor touch ups hap­pen­ing into September.”

A ground­break­ing cer­e­mo­ny is planned for Mon­day, April 21st, 2025 at Noon in Clif­ford Townsend Park locat­ed on Spencer Avenue at Nebras­ka Street, next to the Girl Scout Cabin.
