Marion residents who do not have a smoke detector or need to replace one are encouraged to stop by City Hall. Marion Fire Chief Geoff Williams says there have several preventable deaths just outside of Grant County, and he encourages residents to be responsible about fire prevention. While supplies last, smoke detectors may be picked up at Fire Headquarters on the 3rd Floor of City Hall (301 S. Branson St., Marion, IN 46952). As a reminder, a smoke detector should be located on each level of your home. Firefighters are available to come to your home to install if you need assistance.

If you have questions, you may call Fire Headquarters at 765.668.4474.
