The Mar­i­on Fire Depart­ment has run into many cas­es of res­i­den­tial fires where smoke detec­tors were either not work­ing or miss­ing alto­geth­er. MFD Fire Chief Paul David reminds home­own­ers and land­lords to make sure work­ing smoke detec­tors are in place on each lev­el of each liv­ing space. This sim­ple task can save lives and save your home.
