MAR­I­ON COM­MON COUN­CIL MEET­ING FOR SEP­TEM­BER 1, 2026

The upcom­ing City Coun­cil meet­ing will have a brief and focused agenda:

2^nd Street Traf­fic Change – Con­sid­er­a­tion of mak­ing 2^nd Street a two-way street between Adams and Bran­son to improve access for pub­lic safe­ty vehi­cles and local businesses.

New Fire Engine Equip­ment – Con­sid­er­a­tion of $725,000 in fund­ing to ful­ly equip Mar­i­on Fire Department’s new fire engine.

2027 City Bud­get – The first read­ing of the pro­posed City of Mar­i­on 2027 Budget.

The meet­ing agen­da will focus on these three items.
