Pro Prints Gear is a local print service shop that was created as a home-based business in 1987 by Marv Moriarity. In the beginning of the shop’s opening, there was only one employee and one screen printing machine. Although the focus was geared toward sports apparel and uniforms, the business quickly expanded and was sold to Ross Hoffman in the 1990s. Hoffman then built the location we know today at 1424 W. 35th Street, Marion, Indiana. This newly built location came with the added option of embroidery, promotional items, and signage. In 2013, Steve and Kelly Turner bought Pro Prints and shifted focus to corporate apparel and acquired 2B Personalized the following year.
As a well-known business in Marion and surrounding areas, Pro Prints prides themselves in helping the community. Whether it is through donating to local charitable organizations, or sponsoring the community schools and PAL Club with t‑shirts, Kelly Turner expressed, “we try to help out wherever we can.” A program they currently have in place is, “Pro Prints Gear takes time to be kind.” It is an initiative focused on helping organizations in the community by lending a hand through completing tasks or helping with a designated project.
As a staple business in Marion, Pro Prints will continue to strive to impact the community in a great way, while providing apparel that helps show team spirit.
