Family owned and operated Poppy’s Xtreme Donuts opened for business seven years ago. The shop is open seven days a week from 5am until 2pm, and they make a variety of desserts like traditional donuts, puffs, and fritters.
The shop not only has a physical location in Marion, but also delivers to local businesses all over the region including Converse, Jonesboro, Kokomo, Portland, and Ft. Wayne. So, you don’t have to come to Marion to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The shop’s new manager, Brittany Dillingham is excited about what’s to come for the local favorite. She is happy to serve the local community and grow a small business. Plus, it’s a donut shop. Who doesn’t love that? Brittany hopes to grow the business by adding new locations and additional dessert options to the menu. Brittany welcomes new flavor suggestions, and recently had a voting contest on Poppy’s Facebook page featuring several new donut concoctions. When it comes to flavors, Brittany says her staff is up for the challenge, so be creative and let them know what donut flavors you want to see!
In exciting news, Poppy’s Xtreme Donuts will be moving to the former Penguin Point location on Adams Street. While the date has not been released, follow Poppy’s on Facebook for the grand opening announcement in the near future. If you need a sweet start to your morning or an afternoon break, Poppy’s is currently located at 1421 East 38th Street in Marion by the VA Hospital. Stop by and grab a donut!
