Fam­i­ly owned and oper­at­ed Poppy’s Xtreme Donuts opened for busi­ness sev­en years ago. The shop is open sev­en days a week from 5am until 2pm, and they make a vari­ety of desserts like tra­di­tion­al donuts, puffs, and fritters. 

The shop not only has a phys­i­cal loca­tion in Mar­i­on, but also deliv­ers to local busi­ness­es all over the region includ­ing Con­verse, Jones­boro, Koko­mo, Port­land, and Ft. Wayne. So, you don’t have to come to Mar­i­on to sat­is­fy your sweet tooth. 

The shop’s new man­ag­er, Brit­tany Dilling­ham is excit­ed about what’s to come for the local favorite. She is hap­py to serve the local com­mu­ni­ty and grow a small busi­ness. Plus, it’s a donut shop. Who doesn’t love that? Brit­tany hopes to grow the busi­ness by adding new loca­tions and addi­tion­al dessert options to the menu. Brit­tany wel­comes new fla­vor sug­ges­tions, and recent­ly had a vot­ing con­test on Poppy’s Face­book page fea­tur­ing sev­er­al new donut con­coc­tions. When it comes to fla­vors, Brit­tany says her staff is up for the chal­lenge, so be cre­ative and let them know what donut fla­vors you want to see!

In excit­ing news, Poppy’s Xtreme Donuts will be mov­ing to the for­mer Pen­guin Point loca­tion on Adams Street. While the date has not been released, fol­low Poppy’s on Face­book for the grand open­ing announce­ment in the near future. If you need a sweet start to your morn­ing or an after­noon break, Poppy’s is cur­rent­ly locat­ed at 1421 East 38^th Street in Mar­i­on by the VA Hos­pi­tal. Stop by and grab a donut!
