Apr 23, 2019  |  Layla Price-Bodkin

The City of Marion is one step closer to getting Pickleball Courts in Matter Park. The City of Marion Parks & Recreation Department was selected this week by the Community Foundation of Grant County as 1 of 4 organizations that gets to participate in the Foundation’s matching crowdfunding program. Parks & Rec is aiming to raise $20,000 to add six Pickleball Courts in place of existing back courts in the Tennis Court area of Matter Park, next to the Gardens. If the Department raises the $20,000 through crowdfunding, the Community Foundation will match that amount for a total of $40,000 to complete the project.
