The Plymouth Club has a long history in Marion! The PC opened in 1968 under the ownership of Kerry Clevenger. Subsequent owners include John Lofton and Ernie and Janet Ferguson. The newest owners of the long-time establishment, Derrick and Stephanie Brown, have transformed it into PC Brick Oven Pizza. The newly renovated restaurant and bar was first opened on June 2nd, 2017 with pizza from the oven being available September 17th, 2017.

Stephanie Brown says that their goal with the restaurant is to have a family-friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy. Renovations that took place in 2017 were a first for the Plymouth Club in 49 years. The brick oven was purchased from Italy and shipped to Marion at the start of renovation. Builders from New York were on-site to install the oven properly. After installation was complete, local masonries completed the brick within the building.

Derrick Brown, who also owns Midwest Cabinet Solutions, built and installed all the tables. As for the food, Kevin Grider, owner of Midwest Fresh, consulted them and helped create a menu that would include an exclusive pizza sauce solely for their use.

2018 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Plymouth Club as well as Stephanie’s 50th birthday. A birthday party to celebrate will take place later this year.
