Mike Ver­mil­ion has been a City of Mar­i­on employ­ee since 2007. He served as a Code Enforce­ment Offi­cer from 2007 until 2017, and from there went on to become the Per­mit Com­pli­ance Officer.

Mike has worked dili­gent­ly in each of his assigned duties over the years for the Build­ing and Code Enforce­ment Depart­ments. He con­ducts all of the required inspec­tions, hav­ing direct con­tact with the con­trac­tors per­form­ing work with­in the city lim­its,” said Build­ing Com­mis­sion­er, Jer­ry Foustnight.

Foust­night added, Mike has become a very depend­able and ded­i­cat­ed employ­ee for us here at City Hall. I wish him well when he retires lat­er this year. I encour­age every­one to con­grat­u­late him for his many years of hard work, and wish him a hap­py retirement.”

Ver­mil­ion plans to retire on Octo­ber 1st, 2019.
