The City of Marion Fire Department is accepting sealed bids for the following vehicles. All vehicles will have Fire Department Logos and Emergency lights removed prior to the reading of the accepted sealed bids. All vehicles will be sold as is with no warranties or returns.
Vehicle #1: 1982 Seagraves 100’ ladder truck / VIN 1F9FZ28WOCCST2124
This vehicle was used to give fire trucks rides during events in the public. The hydraulic system that controls the ladder movement up and down is no longer in service. The stairs on the rear of the vehicle have been welded onto the vehicle. The motor and transmission are in working condition. Engine hours are 1,891.5 with 2,332.1 miles currently. This ladder truck can be driven from Station #1. Minimum bid for this vehicle is $2,000.00.
Vehicle #2: 2006 Jeep Sport Utility 4 door / VIN 1J4GR48KX6C277922
This vehicle was purchased in 2006 for the use of Deputy Chiefs on shift. This jeep has major electrical problems and mechanical issues but can be used for parts. Minimum bid for this vehicle is $500.00.
City of Marion Fire Department will stop taking sealed bids on January 13th, 2023, at 4pm. Sealed bids in sealed envelopes can be mailed to Marion Fire Department; 301 S. Branson Street, Marion Indiana 46952 or be hand delivered to fire headquarters located at the address above on the 3rd floor. Sealed bids will be read publicly January 16th, 2023, at 10am during the Board of Works meeting. Winner will be notified on January 16th. Please be sure to fill out the sealed bid form correctly with your bid amount and the vehicle number you wish to bid on.
