Message from the Mayor: Councilman Don Batchelor's Passing Share

It is with a heavy heart that I am writ­ing to inform you that Mar­i­on Com­mon Coun­cil­man Don Batch­e­lor from Dis­trict 5, passed away late Wednes­day evening. Coun­cil­man Batch­e­lor was at Luther­an Hos­pi­tal in Fort Wayne and had his wife and fam­i­ly with him when he passed.

Don was a true ser­vant for the peo­ple of not only Dis­trict 5, but all cit­i­zens of Mar­i­on. His pas­sion and pres­ence on the Com­mon Coun­cil will tru­ly be missed. The Batch­e­lor fam­i­ly asks for your con­tin­ued prayers dur­ing this most dif­fi­cult time. Funer­al arrange­ments are pend­ing and will be pro­vid­ed when they are made available.
