MET (Marion Engineering & Technology, Inc.) was founded in April, 2000 by Jim and Susan Stengel. Prior to April, 2000, the business operated for over forty years as Marion Engineering Products, a Division of Greene Line Manufacturing Corporation.
MET is more than just a general machine shop; the company has several product lines of machinery that includes technical service and replacement parts. MET designs and builds special, one-of-a-kind machines for customers that automate their processes. Specialties include custom hydraulic cylinder manufacturing and repair, machine control panels, PLC programming, assembly of multi-conductor process control cables, hydraulic power units, and machinery rebuilding services.
The products and services offered by MET are tailored to be unique and valuable to its customers. Some of the unique services offered by the company include problem-solving and design work by an experienced engineering staff, off-hour maintenance support and daily pick-up and delivery within the area. MET also provides engineering services, emergency repair work and general maintenance support to other manufacturing operations in the area.
MET has a long-standing reputation in the community for outstanding customer service and for employing one of the most skilled and diversified staff in the area. Marion is proud to be the long-standing home for MET.
