Kathleen “Kathi” Kiley has been serving the citizens of Marion for almost 40 years collectively. She first served as First Deputy Clerk from 1980 to ‘89, then was elected City Clerk in 91, and has been serving in that capacity to present-day.
First Deputy Clerk, Debbie Goodman, expressed appreciation for their 30+ years of working together, and counting. “Kathi is very knowledgeable of the Common Council and City Court system. We work very well together and have become more than just co-workers but family.”
Second Deputy Clerk, Vickie Burns, stated similar appreciation for Kiley in her 7 ½ years of working for her. “She’s a super boss. Best boss I’ve ever had. Kathi takes her job very seriously, and is family-oriented. It would be a hard job to fill if she ever left.”
Mayor Jess Alumbaugh said, “Serving more than 3 decades as City Clerk, Kathi Kiley has always served this community with the utmost care and professionalism. Despite the many demands and challenges they face, Kathi and her team continue to serve with dedication and integrity. I appreciate everything she and her team do for this community.”
