Join Us Downtown for National Night Out, 8/2/22 Share

Make plans to be down­town for Nation­al Night Out on Tues­day, August 2nd, 2022. The annu­al event brings neigh­bors togeth­er with city offi­cials and first respon­ders to build com­mu­ni­ty. This year’s cel­e­bra­to­ry and fam­i­ly-friend­ly event will take place at the 5th Street Com­mons (event space between Wash­ing­ton and Adams St.) down­town, between 5 – 8pm. 

The fun night includes a dunk tank, local lead­ers includ­ing May­or Jess Alum­baugh, Police Chief Angela Haley, and Fire Chief Paul David; Mar­i­on Police will have mas­cot John­ny Law, Ther­a­py Dog-in-Train­ing Zion,” a K9 (police dog), and Crime Stop­pers will be present. The Mar­i­on Fire Depart­ment will fea­ture Touch a Truck,” retired Arson Dog Jer­sey,” and fire pre­ven­tion edu­ca­tion. Last but not least, neigh­bor­hood lead­ers will have booths set up to share about what they are doing in their neigh­bor­hoods while con­nect­ing with first respon­ders, lead­ers, and com­mu­ni­ty members.
