Job Opening: Permit Compliance Officer Share

The City of Mar­i­on will be accept­ing appli­ca­tions through Wednes­day, August 21st, 2019 for the fol­low­ing position:

The City of Mar­i­on is seek­ing an ener­getic, self-start­ing indi­vid­ual for a full-time Per­mit Com­pli­ance Officer.

Job respon­si­bil­i­ties: Admin­is­ters the City Build­ing Ordi­nance and per­forms all func­tions spec­i­fied by state statute to be per­formed by the local build­ing commissioner.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions: Com­ple­tion of sec­ondary edu­ca­tion or equiv­a­lent; must pos­sess valid driver’s license; five (5) years expe­ri­ence in a build­ing trade or trades, or employ­ment as Assis­tant Build­ing Inspec­tor with three (3) years under direct super­vi­sion or a qual­i­fied Build­ing Inspector.
