CORRECTION: Environmental Nuisance Enforcement Cycle Begins 6/1/26 Share

Start­ing June 1^st, the City of Mar­i­on will begin the 2026 cycle of enforc­ing the envi­ron­men­tal pub­lic nui­sance ordi­nance regard­ing weeds and high grass exceed­ing SEV­EN inch­es. Prop­er­ty own­ers are remind­ed to keep their prop­er­ties main­tained and free of vio­la­tions. If issues are not addressed, the City or its agents may cor­rect them and bill the prop­er­ty own­er for the asso­ci­at­ed costs and fees. Con­tin­ued non­com­pli­ance may result in addi­tion­al charges or a lien on the prop­er­ty. The notice remains in effect through Decem­ber 31^st, 2026. — City of Mar­i­on Code Enforce­ment Department
