The Marion Common Council is taking applications from citizens interested in being appointed to the Grant County Public Safety Operations Center Policy Board (Central Dispatch).
Below is information regarding the Civilian Tax Payer
appointment made by the Marion Common Council:
- There is no salary or compensation.
- The board’s purpose is to administer and manage the centralized dispatch in Grant County as a separate county department known as the Grant County Public Safety Dispatch Department and to advise the Grant County Commissioners and Grant County Council on issues related to public safety dispatch.
- Board members are required to attend monthly board meetings which occur on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. There will also occasionally be Council meetings and executive session meetings which require attendance.
- The Civilian Tax Payer appointed by the Marion Common Council should also report to the Marion Common Council.
The deadline for applications to be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office will be 4pm on December 15th, 2021. Applications may be picked up in the City Clerk’s Office (Marion Municipal Building, 2nd floor) Monday through Friday between 8am and 4pm.
