Common Council Seeks Civilian Taxpayer Representative on Policy Board Share

The City of Mar­i­on Com­mon Coun­cil has a vacant posi­tion — City of Mar­i­on Civil­ian Tax­pay­er Rep­re­sen­ta­tive — on the Pol­i­cy Board. The Civil­ian Tax­pay­er Rep­re­sen­ta­tive is an appoint­ment made by the Com­mon Coun­cil. The Board­’s pur­pose is to admin­is­ter and man­age the cen­tral­ized or coun­ty­wide dis­patch in Grant Coun­ty and the Depart­ment, and to advise the Par­tic­i­pat­ing Units on issues relat­ed to pub­lic safe­ty dis­patch. The Coun­cil is look­ing for, but not lim­it­ing to, those who have knowl­edge of dis­patch and first respon­ders’ sit­u­a­tions dur­ing call of duty. The Board was orig­i­nal­ly estab­lished by the Board of Com­mis­sion­ers of Grant Coun­ty. Please sub­mit your appli­ca­tion before Sep­tem­ber 21st, 2020, so the Coun­cil may review and vote on it dur­ing their meet­ing on Sep­tem­ber 22nd, 2020.
