The City of Marion Common Council has a vacant position — City of Marion Civilian Taxpayer Representative — on the Policy Board. The Civilian Taxpayer Representative is an appointment made by the Common Council. The Board’s purpose is to administer and manage the centralized or countywide dispatch in Grant County and the Department, and to advise the Participating Units on issues related to public safety dispatch. The Council is looking for, but not limiting to, those who have knowledge of dispatch and first responders’ situations during call of duty. The Board was originally established by the Board of Commissioners of Grant County. Please submit your application before September 21st, 2020, so the Council may review and vote on it during their meeting on September 22nd, 2020.
