Admin­is­tra­tive Assis­tant, Build­ing Department

The City of Marion will be accepting applications through Friday, July 30th, 2025 for the following position:

City of Marion Building Department is seeking applicants for a full-time Administrative Assistant.

Job responsibilities: Provides administrative and clerical support for the Building and Code Enforcement Department; receives and processes building permit applications; issues portable sign permits; maintains logs and files; notifies businesses of expired permits; maintains department filing system and assures proper distribution and disposition of notices, memoranda, reports and related material; schedules appointments for inspections; reports approved inspections and greets public in office.

Qualifications: Completion of secondary education or equivalent; training or experience in typing, computers, bookkeeping, and office procedures.
