Fire­fight­er (mul­ti­ple), Mar­i­on Fire Department

The City of Marion will be accepting applications through Friday, May 31, 2024 for the Fire Department. This is a full time position with benefits.

Qualifications: Be a U.S citizen at the time of appointment, have reached the age of 21, but not be over the age of 39 and 364 days at time of appointment, possess a current, valid driver’s license at the time of appointment, Have a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check, pass medical and psychological examinations, possess a high moral character and commitment to service.

Possess a current CPAT (Candidate physical ability test) card by written test date. (Here are links to get testing if needed).

Pass a written Firefighter entry-level examination, complete a Fire department waiver and/or release, pass a 75ft. aerial ladder climb with weighted vest and complete a ride along with all shifts for a minimum of 5 hours each day.
