Bran­son Street.

The pur­pose of the hear­ing is to review local devel­op­ment reg­u­la­tions and hous­ing con­di­tions in accor­dance with House Enrolled Act 1001 (2026) and to receive pub­lic com­ment regard­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties to increase hous­ing devel­op­ment with­in the com­mu­ni­ty. Top­ics to be con­sid­ered include hous­ing den­si­ty, hous­ing types, adap­tive reuse of build­ings, devel­op­ment stan­dards, impact fees, per­mit­ting process­es, finan­cial incen­tives, and the avail­abil­i­ty of land for hous­ing development.

Inter­est­ed per­sons may appear at the hear­ing and be heard. Writ­ten com­ments may be sub­mit­ted to the City Plan­ning Dept. pri­or to the hear­ing and will be con­sid­ered as part of the pub­lic record.

This unique ​“trunk or treat” will take place on Oct. 31st from 4 – 7 PM at the Mar­i­on Airport. 

Stat­flight 3 will open their heli­copter to hand out can­dy, and will be joined by Mar­i­on Police, Mar­i­on Fire, EMS, City­wide Main­te­nance and more! 

The air­port will also host a bounce house, and local food/​sweet trucks. 

Event entry is FREE, so come enjoy a fun and safe com­mu­ni­ty trunk or treat… air­port style!
