A memo­r­i­al ser­vice will be held begin­ning at 8:30am as we reflect on the 25^th anniver­sary of ⁹⁄₁₁, and a cel­e­bra­tion will fol­low hon­or­ing Mar­i­on Fire Depart­men­t’s 150 years of ser­vice to the com­mu­ni­ty as well as the new down­town Fire Sta­tion 1 with a rib­bon cut­ting at 10:30am. Imme­di­ate­ly fol­low­ing the rib­bon cut­ting, there will be tours of the new fire station.

Loca­tion: Fire Sta­tion 1 — 213 W. 4^th St., Mar­i­on, Indiana

Refresh­ments will be pro­vid­ed by the City of Marion.

Places to Park:
Lot behind Sta­tion 1 (4^th & Boots St.);
On-street park­ing along 4^th or Boots Streets
Extend­ed park­ing at 5^th and Boots or 5^th and Wash­ing­ton (‘5^th Street Commons’)

*Try to walk or car­pool as park­ing is limited.

Please use the one-way road at the traf­fic light at Penn­syl­va­nia Street and Third Street, near the old Tuck­er build­ing, to access MACC.

2^nd Street Traf­fic Change – Con­sid­er­a­tion of mak­ing 2^nd Street a two-way street between Adams and Bran­son to improve access for pub­lic safe­ty vehi­cles and local businesses.

New Fire Engine Equip­ment – Con­sid­er­a­tion of $725,000 in fund­ing to ful­ly equip Mar­i­on Fire Department’s new fire engine.

2027 City Bud­get – The first read­ing of the pro­posed City of Mar­i­on 2027 Budget.

The meet­ing agen­da will focus on these three items.
