City of Mar­i­on admin­is­tra­tive offices will be closed on Fri­day, July 3^rd, 2026 in obser­vance of Inde­pen­dence Day. Mar­i­on Util­i­ties’ offices and recy­cling will be closed on Friday.

Although Mar­i­on Tran­sit will not be run­ning reg­u­lar routes on Fri­day the 3^rd, they will be shut­tling patrons to and from the Inde­pen­dence Day Cel­e­bra­tion from the mall build­ing behind Ros­es to Mat­ter Park from 5 – 10pm. (see sep­a­rate announce­ment with more infor­ma­tion about cel­e­bra­tion event parking)
