Open Position: Animal Control Officer

The City of Marion will be accepting applications through Friday, May 13th for an Animal Control Officer. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Job responsibilities: Enforces animal control ordinances and related laws, rules and regulations for the City of Marion and Grant County.

Dog Adoption Prices.

  • Altered Dog Adoption: $115 + $25 Rabies Shot
  • Unaltered Dog Adoption: $65 + $25 Rabies Shot
  • Pit Bull Adoption: $125 + $25 Rabies Shot
  • Cat Adoption Prices.

Animal Care and Control has New Business Hours

We have new Business Hours!

You can visit us Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 am - 5:00pm.

Animal Care and Control is closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We are offering after hour appointments to anyone who is not available during normal business hours. Please contact or call us at 765-668-4491.

Animal Care and Control Officers are available 24/7. After hours officers are available for emergency calls by contacting MPD at (765) 668-9981.

We also have a on site veterinarian on site to assist you with your pets need.

Animal Care Volunteer Morgan Carrico Honored by NPBA

National Pit Bull Awareness honoree is Morgan Carrico. she was nominated by Stacy Moore, Manager of Animal Care and Control located in Marion, IN. Priority 4 Paws Program

Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine is ready to roll out Priority 4 Paws, a program featuring a mobile surgery unit that will be taken to animal shelters to spay and neuter shelter pets up for adoption. The Priority for Paws program will be visiting Marion Indiana's Animal Care and Control facility August 21, 2012.

The program, scheduled to begin July 30 when the mobile unit will go out for the first time, also will help train veterinary medicine students, said Lyn Freeman, a veterinarian and associate professor of veterinary clinical sciences.
