CPR Courses

The Marion Fire Department is dedicated to the preservation of life and the well being of our community. This dedication is shown through the many cardio pulmonary resuscitation (C.P.R.) classes that we teach throughout the year. We have 12 dedicated firefighters who are, American Heart Association, C.P.R. instructors. We offer many different types of C.P.R. classes. We will teach small or large groups or a group of individuals. Just call (765-668-4474) Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm to schedule the American Heart Association C.P.R. class that fits your needs. Here are a couple of our most popular classes that we offer.
 
We will be charging for the all CPR classes that we teach.
  • HEARTSAVER/AED: $40 Per Individual
  • HEALTHCARE PROVIDER BLS; $45 Per Individual
  • FIRST AID: $45 Per Individual
  • ANY CPR CLASS/FIRST AID: $55 Per Individual

 
Healthcare Provider Course
This class is for the individual who is working in the healthcare field. The class covers how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an individual who is in need of C.P.R. and what steps to take to help that individual. Also, the class covers how to recognize the signs and symptoms of the individual who may need rescue breathing. In addition, the class covers the steps to take for the individual who has an obstruction airway. All of this covers what to do for the adult, child, and infant. Finally, this class covers the usage of a defibrillator on the adult and child. This class requires a proficiency test in hands on skills and a written examination.
 
Heart Saver Course
This class is for the lay person who may need to take a C.P.R. class for work or for the lay person who is interested in a C.P.R. class for their own benefit. The class covers how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an individual who is need of C.P.R. and what steps to take to help that individual. Also, the class covers how to recognize the signs and symptoms of the individual who may need rescue breathing. In addition, the class covers the steps to take for the individual who has an obstruction airway. This class may be taught in the adult, child, or infant version or any combination of the three. Finally, the class offers the usage of a defibrillator in the adult or child. This class requires a proficiency test in hands-on skills. We also offer Basic First Aid Classes.
