The City of Marion is seeking an energetic, self-starting individual for a full-time Building and Grounds Manager.

Job Responsibilities: Oversees all maintenance and housekeeping functions for the City building and grounds; maintains inventory of supplies; prepares annual departmental budget; assigns and coordinates work duties for community corrections and summer youth employees.

All Marion Firefighters Receive New Gear through FEMA Grant

Thanks to the volunteer work of a retired firefighter, the Marion Fire Department was awarded a grant for nearly $144,000 in new safety gear for all firefighters.

State Agency Releases Video Showcasing Marion’s Success with Blight Elimination

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) has recognized the City of Marion for outstanding participation in their Blight Elimination Program by producing and releasing a video. Marion and Gary were the only cities in the state recognized by the IHCDA through these short documentaries.
